This lesson will combine my arrangements of three pieces originally composed for another instrument. In addition to hopefully expanding your guitar repertoire, I’ll provide commentary on the challenges of arranging for guitar and highlight technical solutions I’ve used for common musical problems.
Drunken Man’s Dream - a crooked fiddle blues from Kentucky fiddle legend Doc Roberts
Cumberland Blues - a Doc Roberts fiddle melody that bridges the gap between old time and ragtime sounds.
Kansas City Stomp - A Jelly Roll Morton piano composition that will give your fingers a workout.
A PDF booklet has all the arrangements written out in tab, music and chord grids and can be found on the DVD.
